Great potential for international textile machinery manufacturers

According to CITI – Confederation of Indian Textile Industry – its member companies are planning to invest a total of over 30 billion euros by the year 2015. In doing so they will be taking advantage of a range of government grant programmes. For international textile machinery manufacturers this spells excellent business opportunities.

Munich-based IMAG – International Exhibition and Fair Service – the international arm of the Messe München Group, is for the second time organising the international textile machinery exhibition, TEXMAC INDIA, in cooperation with its Indian partner, FDI – Fair Design India. This exhibition takes place from 16 to 19 March 2011 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai; it is the only international textile machinery exhibition between 2008 and 2012 for India and its neighbourring regions. Its special status is underlined by the fact that the Asian Textile Conference ATEXON, organised by CITI, is being held in parallel with the fair. As at the premiere of TEXMAC INDIA, the involvement of CITI and its 27 member associations from across India ensures a high quality level among the visitors, in particular attracting decision-makers from India and neighbouring countries.

After a clear upturn in the Indian textile industry, the time has come to stage the second edition of TEXMAC INDIA. The country has recovered incredibly well from the recession and a remarkable upwards trend can be seen. As a result there is a steady interest in the Indian growth market on the part of international companies, and the organisers are reacting by holding the second TEXMAC INDIA in Mumbai, India’s financial and economic centre and home of the Indian textile industry. TEXMAC INDIA provides a platform of high international standard as it is the only show which has gained the support of major international industry associations. Leading European organisations such as VDMA, Germany’s engineering federation, and ACIMIT – the Italian textile machinery association, have already confirmed official country pavilions. In addition international joint participations have been announced by China, the Czech Republic Korea, Japan and Turkey.

For TEXMAC INDIA 2011 around 300 exhibitors are expected. As such the 2011 event will be able to continue the success of its premiere, which took place before the economic crisis.

As an organiser of trade fairs IMAG has excellent contacts in the country. The company has been active on the Indian trade-fair market since 1962. Currently IMAG organises around forty trade fairs in approximately 15 countries – five of these events are held in India.
