HONG KONG – Cotton Council International’s (CCI) COTTON USA Supply Chain Marketing Buyers Tour will be held in China from 7th to 11th June.

Nearly 40 renowned global buyers and retailers from the U.S., Europe and Northeast Asia will join the tour, including: Gardeur, Gerry Weber, Marks & Spencer, Max Mara, K&L Ruppert, Debenhams, Polo Ralph Lauren. To provide sourcing options for the brands and retailers, 37 COTTON USA licensed suppliers from China and North and Southeast Asia will participate in the trade fair to promote their quality U.S. cotton-rich fabrics and garments.

“The COTTON USA Buyers Tour will enable participating buyers to gain an in-depth understanding of the bottom weight and denim garment manufacturing business in China, as well as offer premiere sourcing options for U.S. cotton,” said CCI Supply Chain Marketing Director Will Bettendorf.

This year’s Buyers Tour incorporates a two-day trade fair in Shanghai, as well as factory tours in Hangzhou and Guangdong, to provide opportunities to overseas buyers to meet leading suppliers of denim and non-denim woven bottom weight fabrics and garments from China and other parts of Asia. The buyers will also join a special networking event organized by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Trade Office in Guangzhou.

COTTON USA Supply Chain Marketing (SCM) Buyers Tours are the cornerstone of CCI’s SCM initiative. CCI holds Buyers Tours every year to meet the different U.S. cotton sourcing demands of buyers and suppliers worldwide. The event services COTTON USA manufacturer licensees, brands and retailers to facilitate the sourcing process for buyers by pre-selecting manufacturers. Both buyers and manufacturers have found the Buyers Tour to be an extremely effective and efficient way to meet new customers and create new business relationships.
