We at, TTIS Co., Ltd. has organized annual seminars on current topics of interest to readers of our magazines.  Last year, we introduced, for the first time, the concept of running a mini-exhibition and received great responses.  This year we aim to create even a bigger audience with a topic selected from our reader’s survey.

The textile and apparel trade has undergone a number of turbulences in the past few years due to several factors: shifting in manufacturing base, global depression, shortage of workers, huge price fluctuation of cotton, to name a few.

What are the textile and apparel producers to do to cope with these external factors- that influence their business?

Many in the business realize that a few sure ways to keep the business going strong include:

Create products of added value,

Using innovative technology to lower cost/ energy/waste

Use current technology to produce novelty materials.

These manufacturers, of course, have to comply with the green operation practice where the environment is not compromised, while making products that perform according to changing needs of the global consumers.

The concept is easy to grasp but in practice what do manufacturers/ product developers need to know to start executing such strategy.  How can we be sure that we are updated with all the available options out there in terms of technology, materials to use in our product development? What are the demanding consumers really looking for in this so-called “modern textile”? Most importantly, what can we, the manufacturers, do to adopt these ideas to our operations?

This one-day seminar and mini exhibition is planned to address these issues. We are sure that you’d leave the event with useful ideas, tips, tools and contacts to help you with your operation.

OBJECTIVES

1)      To provide useful knowledge and trade insight to textile industry

2)      Channel for networking among TTIS clients, readers and suppliers

3)      Serve as CRM between TTIS and the textile trade community
