Look up textile know-how online with RIKIPEDIA.

Looking up technical terms has changed complete¬ly since the world-famous Wikipedia encyclopedia went live on the Internet in 2001. You can find the information you’re looking for much faster in Wikipe¬dia – in the form of text, images or as a video – than in a book.

RIKIPEDIA – that’s the name of the new online ref¬erence work for short staple spinning technology by Rieter. With RIKIPEDIA, Rieter presents textile know-how from “The Rieter Manual of Spinning” series of volumes on the Internet in the form you are familiar with from Wikipedia.

Initial content from “The Rieter Manual of Spinning” series of volumes has now been edited for the In-ternet and gone live in English on www.rieter.com. More content is being added daily.

Structure
The structure of the RIKIPEDIA online reference work is similar to that of the existing volumes and is subdi-vided into the following areas:

• Technology of Short-Staple Spinning
• Fiber Preparation
• Spinning Preparation
• Ring Spinning
• Rotor Spinning
• Alternative Spinning Systems

The table of contents for the relevant thematic field is always displayed to the right of the content, facili-tating rapid navigation through the contents (Fig. 3, item 7).
