International buyers flock to Interselection fashion fair Print E-mail

Interselection confirms its position as a leader in Mass Market Fashion, a fair dedicated 100% to ready-to-wear and accessory collections.

In the aisles, the forums and the conferences, Inters?lection's May session was a fantastic fashion fair. The fair, from May 5-7 at the Parc d'Expositions - Paris Nord Villepinte, France, featured 300 exhibitors’ collections and stimulated many buyers with targeted, trendy designs.

Natural layout helps buyers
The set up was in two halls: on one side was Essentials by Inters?lection, and on the other side was Ready-to-Wear. 

This innovation was appreciated by exhibitors and visitors. Organization and signage at the new Essentials stands was excellent. On the stands themselves, many exhibitors used a merchandising approach initiated by Interselection in the Forums. 

This tool helped emphasize the collections by creating an environment close to the buyers’ everyday store experiences. 

With over 100 new brands this session, Inters?lection confirmed its attractiveness for companies wishing to grab a piece of the European market. 

According to their first impressions, new exhibitors were especially satisfied with their participation, particularly Chadia Ready-to-Wear, Pink Planet Accessories, Treks Socks, and Doramafie Men’s Ready-to-Wear Jeans. 

This was a fashion education to help retailers make their choices. For buyers, the trend Forums were key for reinforcing their selections, or correcting them. 

It was also a fair for doing business and making contacts. As in recent seasons, those brands with a clear, confirmed position and companies able to renew and show off their creativity captured the attention of a demanding, selective clientele.

Visitors increasingly seek a clear offer and easy-to-interpret fashion information. They first visited the ‘Trend’ and ‘Accessories’ forums, this time with a dominant ‘Men’ theme, but they also attended the fashion shows. Thanks to these events, visitors quickly had a trend overview and chose from the offer to target their market.

Interselection therefore attracted a representative level of stores present in the mass market. The next Inters?lection show is from 28-30 October 2008.
